Camping Options Missoula

Our rafting and fishing headquarters is located at 39 Juniper Lane, Alberton MT 59820. This is Cyr Exit Recreation Area if you are coming from I-90 Missoula. Find some great options on HipCamp Site. Here are some of our suggestions for your camping options Missoula!

If you are coming from Coeur d’ Alene and Spokane (west of us) or headed north towards Sandpoint, ID or Glacier National Park, some fun camping options and lodging might be:

Camping

Fish Creek State Park From the lookout atop Williams Peak to the crystal clear blue pools of Fish Creek, this 5,603-acre state park is full of wildlife, beautiful scenery and places to explore. Open year round; activities include hiking, mountain biking, hunting, fishing, and wildlife viewing. It is a free camping option and features pull in RV and tent sites, 23 ft max RV length, 2884 ft elev, outhouses, and wade fishing access. It is considered primitive and they do not take reservations. No host is on site. Some of our anglers like to stay here so that they can wade fish. It is a popular site with lots of people coming and going that know about it. Big Pine Campground is only 10 minutes from our shop. Big Pine Fishing Access Site has 5 designated campsites on 19 acres. Both tents and trailers are welcome at the campground. Trailer length 23-feet. No drinking water is available. This site is classified as a primitive recreation site so you must limit your stay to 7 days. The Alberton Gorge, with first-rate whitewater rafting is nearby: us! Missoula is 35 minutes away headed east.

St. Regis Campgound and RV Park Another option 45 minutes west of us for camping options near us is in St. Regis, Montana. There you will find a great tourist St. Regis Travel Center shopping area, a quaint small town, and this campgound with showers, wifi, laundry, and RV spots.

Quinns Hot Springs If you are on your way to Sandpoint or headed north to Flathead Lake or Glacier Park this would be a great stop and overnight. Located out Hwy 135, just off I-90 west by 25 minutes, Quinns Hot Springs are 100% natural, geothermal pools individually calibrated to offer a variety of inviting temperatures. Their hottest pool begins at a steamy 106 and coolest mellows out at 89. They also have an ice pool designed to increase heart-rates and improve circulation for those brave enough to take the plunge. Natural springs like these offer a range of health and heart benefits and are a great alternate option to your camping options Missoula! Quinns features 2 large lodges and 25 canyon and river-side cabins. Tucked along the banks of the Lower Clark Fork itself, these luxury, log cabins offer a little added privacy and stunning river views. Location: 190 Hwy 135, Paradise, MT 59856

Rivers Edge Resort and RV Park is another option close to us. Located 10 minutes and one exit away from our shop, Rivers Edge offers a restaurant, bar, RV Park with packed in parking, laundry, casino, and cabins. This is an excellent stop over and the closest option to us. Please note that the train is very close to us in the Cyr/Alberton canyon area and there is no avoiding the sound either in the distance or close to the interstate. The owners and awesome and welcoming. If you are looking for a great overnight to take a shower, eat some good food, and recover from travels this might be a good option outside of Missoula.
