Coeur d’Alene River Scenic Float Trip (April-Nov. weather permitting)
This is a great way to spend half the day on the way to the Coeur d’Alene/Spokane area. Stop on your road trip and do this one!
This is a nice river float down the Lower Coeur d’Alene River. This river trip is great for all ages and abilities. Nervous about younger children on the boats? This is your float trip! You get out on the water without any stress. Picture a lazy river, warm breezes and a total release of all your cares and your guide does all the paddling. The Coeur d’Alene Scenic River float trip features Class I rapids (meandering ripples) and calm water. It is a blue ribbon river, spring and snow fed, keeping it a healthy river year round.
Guests view birds, moose, and this adventure has North Idaho written all over it. The Lower CDA River is a peaceful section with gentle flows that run all summer long. Jump in to swim! Hang out on the beach for a bit. This is a crystal clear spring fed water that houses Cutthroat year round and Chinook Salmon in the fall.

The Coeur d’Alene River Fishing Trip is on the main part of the Coeur d’Alene River and is best done by drift boat. It features some of the finest scenery in Northern Idaho. It is a healthy fishery, filled primarily with cutthroat. Join us for a Full Day or Half Day Fishing Adventure! This fishery is the closest trip from Coeur d’Alene at a 40 minute drive East of CDA. It is fed by spring water which allows us to float it year-round. The Coeur d’Alene River flows into Lake CDA and eventually this stream becomes the Spokane River as it flows out of Coeur d’Alene Lake towards Spokane, WA.
The Coeur d’Alene River is home to us in the North watershed to this area and it is our go-to spot. The main attraction to this particular body of water is a native fish: the Westslope Black Tail Cutthroat Trout. This genetically mutated fish exists only on the CDA! A fun fact for you is that all of the real bodies of water in the film Dante’s Peak were either the Coeur d’Alene River or one of its tributaries. Because of its proximity, the Coeur d’Alene River Fishing Trip is one of our best in fishing trips Coeur d’Alene Idaho! We guide fish the CDA April-November. There is some primitive camping spots along the river for those interested in this stop on the way to Spokane/CDA.
