Every summer, Adventures with Western Waters offers a one-day Fly Fishing Camp for youth (ages 10-17) visiting or residing in the Clark Fork watershed area. They are taught: watershed education, river safety, basic aquatic insect facts, bug identification, river obedience, no trace left behind, fly fishing techniques and knots, proper fish handling, and PFD (life jacket) safety.
This fly fishing camp starts at our shop, located in Cyr, MT (exit 70 off of I-90). We spend the first part of the day at the shop learning basic fly fishing knowledge. After lunch we head to the Clark Fork river to test our newly learned skills. We provide our participants a safe and educational experience. Our goal is to inspire the next generation to navigate and engage with the great outdoors! Pre-registration is required to reserve a spot in our summer camps and they almost always fill up. A credit card, release form, and dietary concerns need to be provided in advance.
$85.00 includes lunch, river photo, and fishing gear to use.Personal fly rods encouraged, we can provide and also available for purchase before hand. Call for discounted price and product options if interested!
