River Boot Camp: Clark Fork River

Have you ever wondered how to run a river in a safe and correct way? Our two-day River Boot Camp on the Clark Fork River will teach participants proper river etiquette, identifying CFS, rescue and safety, how shuttles work, and where to go. We also teach where to go, when to go, how to plan your day and who can go with you at what levels of water ( http://waterdata.usgs.gov/MT/nwis/current/?type=flow ). Though it seems like a lot of information, by the end of this boot camp you will feel confident in your ability to take a raft down the many beautiful rivers that surround us. After your time spent on the Clark Fork River, we will be hoping to see you on the rivers for the rest of the season!

This class will start at square one in a noncompetitive small group environment. We will provide all the gear that is needed for your time spent on the river. River Boot Camp focuses on making each participant a confident rafter/floater by the end of the class with the knowledge to respect and run our beautiful rivers. Class begins at 9:00 am and concludes at 4:00pm. We meet at the river site and is TBA on water level. Class size is limited to ensure proper personal instruction. If lodging is desired we can refer you to a local B&B. A credit card, release form, and dietary concerns will be required at registration.

$170.00 includes lunches both days, river photo, and river gear to use.
