Women’s Fly Fishing Course: Intermediate

Women’s Fly Fishing Course: Intermediate prepares the beginner angler by providing more advanced information and techniques on becoming a better fly fishing woman!

Classes meet at the Western Waters Fly Shop. It is located at Cyr Exit on the Clarkfork River. Class begins at 9:00 am and concludes at 4:00pm. The first day will be in the shop and on our property with dry-land casting practice. The second day will be stream side to discuss fishing etiquette, safety, watershed, and practice the techniques learned in a real environment. Equipment during the class will be provided by Western Waters. This class will discuss trouble shooting with knot tying, selecting proper equipment and flies depending on experience, learning the tackle, casting methods, landing and releasing fish and where and how to go fishing to improve your skills. Our instructor will focus on making each participant a more confident independent angler using the skills they already have. Come join our Women’s Intermediate Fly Fishing Workshop and Course!

Class size is limited to ensure proper personal instruction. If lodging is desired we can refer you to a local B&B. A credit card, release form, and dietary concerns will be required at registration.
